LIFE Fluvial presents at OPEN SCIENCE CAMBRE 2019

The 2019 edition is already the second time that Mariñas Coruñesas and Terras do Mandeo participate with a stand at the Open Science in Cambre (A Coruña). The event on 21 and 22 September was organised by the science club “XenTD100cia”, in collaboration with the Cambre town council. For many it is one of the most fun ways to get closer to science as Open Science uses the tool of “Snack Experiments” or short experiments to get closer to the younger population.

LIFE Fluvial has been one of the main thematic axes of the Biosphere Reserve in this 2019 edition, enjoying a special role in the stand. In addition, there was a travelling exhibition consisting of 15 leaflets with information about the project, which helped our technical team to explain and clarify the doubts and curiosities of visitors to the event.

Aimed at the younger public, an entertaining game was presented for the first time, a roulette designed ad hoc for LIFE Fluvial. If the young participants answered correctly to questions on various topics related to the river corridors, they received the children’s book “Os Bolechas van polo río” as a gift. The number of participants in this game exceeded 200 over the two days of the event.
